The Legacy Society: Solidifying the Future of Fisher College
From the President
Dear Friends, I hope this exciting new issue of Fisher Today greets you with renewed spirits gained from a relaxing summer.
Institutions of higher education are on the front lines of this extraordinary economic crunch. The remarkable accomplishments of every graduate, professor, and friend mentioned in these pages are even more compelling given these difficult times. I am proud of the way each of them represents the College and adds even more luster to the Fisher name.
It is because of these uncertain times that Fisher alumni need their alma mater. Fisher is your anchor, and can also continue to guide you through choppy waters. Our burgeoning Office of Alumni Relations bridges alumni with all that the College has to offer. Stay in touch and let us know how we can help.
At the same time, Fisher needs its alumni more than ever. Thank you to the donors on the Honor Roll and to all of you who volunteered your time as Phone-a-thon callers, Alumni Liaisons, Alumni Mentors, speakers, advisors, and the countless other ways you gave back. Your investment in your alma mater has a measurable and lasting impact for the student experience, which, you should know, increases the value of a Fisher degree.
As I enter my third year as President, I am more invigorated by the promise of our College. I will look forward to seeing alumni on campus and to corresponding with you in the coming months.
For Fisher,
Dr. Thomas M. McGovern
